Abundance Culinary
2024 INTERVIEW
Abundance is a modern Chinese kitchen, we try to bring a modern flavor profile to the NE Ohio market and change public’s opinion about what Chinese food should be like. We offer food/drinks pairing, cooking classes etc.
Liu Fang brought her native Chinese dishes to life here in Northeast Ohio - and recently opened her restaurant in the historical Katz Diner in Cleveland Heights. She started selling her dumplings and other dishes by hosting pop up hours at The Larder, a delicatessen in Ohio City. Liu came to the SBDC @ CSU for assistance with her business plan and financial projections as well as other business planning tasks on her to do list. She used her business plan and financial projections package to seek financing from a bank so that she could open and run her business in her own space. We were so impressed with Liu, that while working on her business plan, she was also working hard on her recipes, all while selling out every time she held her pop up hours.
Here is what Liu had to say about working with our SBDC:
Share your recent business success!
We will expand our business to include caffeine service and Asian pastries, outdoor seating.
How did the SBDC at CSU help you?
Introducing us to female/small business friendly financial institutions and bankers, lawyers, other service providers, helping us apply for loans, and grants.
Have you recommended the SBDC to anyone?
Absolutely!
Anything else that you would like to add?
Please continue doing the great things you are doing to help small businesses!
