GlobalTarget™ Program
EXPORT ACCELERATOR
The GlobalTarget program was created in 2005 by the Monte Ahuja College of Business Global Business Center at Cleveland State University, the SBDC Export Assistance Network (EAN), the U.S. Commercial Service and other regional and international organizations.
There are two ways to participate in the GlobalTarget program: 1) Company Membership in a seven-month cohort or 2) Individual Mentorship which can be renewed annually.
To participate in the GlobalTarget program, we request a 7-month commitment from November 2024 through May 2025. The year’s program will feature a special alignment to the US Department of Commerce’s Trade Wind trade mission to South America. Participants will have an interest to participate or expand exports to Latin America.
MEMBERSHIP
Companies can participate in one of our annual cohorts which meets five times over seven to nine months. Participation is required for your company’s leadership team for strategy building, but is also highly encouraged for other employees across departments to build your tactical know-how.
GlobalTarget membership provides a low-cost, interactive method to extend a company’s international resources to build an effective global strategy. Companies will gain the skills they need to manage global markets.
If your company has global operations but needs to put it all together, GlobalTarget will provide you with the skills and tools you need to manage global markets with greater confidence.
Each participant receives a comprehensive, professional international business review which includes: the International Expansion Blueprint conducted by the U.S. Department of Commerce; an international market prioritization study customized for your organization conducted by the CSU Global Business Center; and a customized global strategy blueprint for your company built with the assistance of expert mentors.
By participating in the GlobalTarget Program, companies with sales from $5 million to $50 million that are expanding into foreign markets will gain knowledge, tools, current perspectives on operating in global markets and best practices in order to execute their global strategies more efficiently, effectively and quickly. Qualifying companies can receive 100% reimbursement on the enrollment fee through the Ohio IMAGE/STEP grant.
