In the News: Nate Heads West
Our very own director Nate Ward has been given trade advisor duties for all counties in Northwest Ohio as of January. His current clients in Northeast Ohio will transition to Chris Lees or David Delgado as their primary contact. Nate's home base will continue to be at CSU where he remains available to assist clients in that region. Nate will be collaborating with the SBDC at the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce and making frequent trips to Toledo and Bowling Green State University to support the internship cohort there. Nate looks forward to building relationships with the business community in the region and is now available to meet with all small to medium-sized companies that are looking for international trade advising.
Survey: The French Connection
Would your company be interested in a direct ocean container route from Cleveland to France?
The French-American Chamber of Commerce Ohio Chapter has asked the Global Business Center to gather community input on a proposed route from the port of Cleveland to the HAROPA Port in France. HAROPA is France's leading port and includes le Havre, Paris and the port in Rouen - Cleveland's Sister-City in France. This route would build upon the success of the Cleveland-Europe Express route to the Netherlands and provide similar advantages - such as a 7-10 day door-to-door transit savings versus coastal port routings.
